Peace In The Valley
Well I'm tired and so weary but I must go along,
Till the Lord comes and calls me away,
Well the morning is bright and the Lamb is the Light,
And the night, night is as fair as the day,

{Chorus}
There will be peace in the valley for me someday,
There will be peace in the valley for me,
Oh Lord, I pray,
They'll be no sadness, no sorrow,
No trouble I'll see,
Yes, there will be peace,
Peace in the valley for me...

Well the bear will be gentle and the wolf will be tame,
And the lion shall lay down, down by the lamb (oh yeah)
And the beast from the wild will be led by a little child,
And I'll be changed, changed from this creature
That I am...

{Repeat Chorus}

The first time I heard this song it instantly drew me closer to the Lord and it still does to this day. Monty Schroder attended our church and was diagnosed with cancer. Before he went home to be with the Lord, he approached me and asked me to sing this song at his funeral. This song means so much more to me now and I pray it blesses Monty's parents, Bob and Jan Schroder, and all who hear it.
